Today on Repairs101 I’m going to show you some of the things you can do to fix stinky feet.
You heard me.

So you probably don’t know me but if you did you’d know that I like helping people and that’s why I agreed to give this talk. Now I know you’re not watching this for yourself, you have a friend… with a foot odor problem. But your friend’s not alone. Trust me, I once also had a friend… with the same problem.

The first thing I’ll say is that you should probably go see a doctor because you could have a serious problem. Now that said, there’s absolutely no reason to be sending any lawyers over to my house if any part of this doesn’t work out for you.

Cool?  Alright.

Needless to say – but I’m going to say it anyway – it all starts with good hygiene. Get a good quality soap like Ivory Soap and use a washcloth, especially between your toes. After you’ve towelled off apply some antibacterial like Purell all around the affected areas to kill stink germs. Do this twice a day.

Now before you do anything you’ve got to put on some socks and as far as I’m concerned cotton socks, tube socks, sports socks – they’re only good for sleeping in. If you’re wearing shoes or boots you’re much better off with wool socks and you want to buy them with as high a percentage of wool as you can find. If your feet sweat profusely you may want to try two pairs of wool socks to control the sweat. Two thin pairs of wool socks will control sweat better than one thick pair, winter or summer.

Sadly, you’re going to have to give up wearing any footwear made from any man made textiles and invest in leather shoes and boots.

Now whether we’re talking about your work shoes or boots or your riding boots or your other riding boots or your hiking boots – whatever it is – if you wear them all day every day you really want to get two pairs so that you can alternate and let them dry out between uses. I know it hurts to drop all that cash at once but the upside is : they last longer.

Please remember to share this video with all your smelliest friends and relatives – so that we can all breathe a little easier.

(Aircraft hums)

Yeah, you hear the plane? I know. Let’s take it from the top.
