you probably don’t know me but if you did you’d know that I like
helping people and that’s why I agreed to give this talk. Now I know
you’re not watching this for yourself, you have a friend… with a foot
odor problem. But your friend’s not alone. Trust me, I once also had a
friend… with the same problem.
first thing I’ll say is that you should probably go see a doctor because
you could have a serious problem. Now that said, there’s absolutely no
reason to be sending any lawyers over to my house if any part of this
doesn’t work out for you.
to say – but I’m going to say it anyway – it all starts with good
hygiene. Get a good quality soap like Ivory Soap and use a washcloth,
especially between your toes. After you’ve towelled off apply some
antibacterial like Purell all around the affected areas to kill stink
germs. Do this twice a day.
before you do anything you’ve got to put on some socks and as far as
I’m concerned cotton socks, tube socks, sports socks – they’re only
good for sleeping in. If you’re wearing shoes or boots you’re much
better off with wool socks and you want to buy them with as high a
percentage of wool as you can find. If your feet sweat profusely you may
want to try two pairs of wool socks to control the sweat. Two thin pairs
of wool socks will control sweat better than one thick pair, winter or
you’re going to have to give up wearing any footwear made from any man
made textiles and invest in leather shoes and boots.
whether we’re talking about your work shoes or boots or your riding
boots or your other riding boots or your hiking boots – whatever it is
– if you wear them all day every day you really want to get two pairs so
that you can alternate and let them dry out between uses. I know it hurts
to drop all that cash at once but the upside is : they last longer.
